 HBCD,hexabromocyclododecane,is a very high efficient flame retardant additive with a bromine content of 74% resulting in lower loading and less effect on physical and mechanical properties of flame -retarded polymers.HBCD has a adequate thermal stability and is a free flowing powder. If has been developed by Huaxing Industry and Commerce Corporation in recent years.
2，Applications
HBCD is widely used in EPS, epoxy resin, wire and cables, textiles ,adhesives and coatings, adn it is particularly recommended for styrene based systems such as EPS. There is no need to use antimony synergists when HBCD is used for EPS. The stabilized HBCD can also be applied to HIPS, PP and other polyolefin.
